    Very helpful! I'm switching my tank from glass pebbles to sand. The pebbles are smaller than gravel & smooth but I think my corys would love sand more

    You do what you do, ppl looking for these vids are searching them out, and searching out these channels, not just looking at a feed. It like musicians, who's on the radio, well what better bands are not being played on the radio....millions, is what it is, make yours shit great, and the word will spread, then they search you out.

    Would I like about your videos is the fact that at one time you figured out what was wrong with your filters and how to go about fixing them you and I are around the same age and we have a tendency to use our heads and common sense when it comes to problems and problem-solving

    You could use and ATO with an optical sensor like they do in the saltwater world like the one from Tunze and I think Hygger even has an ATO.

      The water added to the ATO is treated with conditioner that neutralizes chloramine.

      I have some evap plastic covers that can be cut to size. I might just cover a part of the sump.

      I use plexiglass cut in 3 pieces. One on the left of the intake pipes (with cut outs). Same on the right side to the return plumbing (again with cut outs for plumbing). Then one in the centre. This full covers the sump and is easily removable and almost eliminates evaporation. Can I send a picture?

    Make sure your ATO reservoir is large enough so it does not run dry and require frequent replenishment with water I have a 15 gallon reservoir servicing my 340 and 500 gallon sumps. Still needs to be refilled about every 10 days

    I hope to have a couple cichlid tank eventually. I really like yellow labs and the multi shell dwellers. Unfortunately I don’t have the room or budget for that at the moment but it’s on the bucket list for sure

    I used to have a PAIR of the golden/yellow sevrums...that size...they ALWAYS HUNG TOGETHER...I WOULD SUGESST MAKING IT A PAIR. Makes a huge difference in your tank!..try it!!.Love the channel!

      @@BenOchart Whoever is running whatever channel started doing videos and later got obsessed with views and monetary gains which is fine if one accepted it as a part of being a content creator. There's should be no reason to make a video about burning out and having to do a lot in order to gain publicity, views, likes, money. People just like to moan and that's another topic to create a video on.

    I stopped using heaters in my aquariums years ago because we keep our house in the 70s at all times. My only fish tank that has a heater is the one I keep in my school classroom because it does get cold in there at night and on the weekends.
